The Treasurer is an essential elected officer who's role compromises of being responsible for the King's Union's financial accountability, and fundraising efforts. This is in addition to ensuring all activities comply with University and Society rules. She/He has the important job of overseeing budgets, helping maintain transparent records, and helping to secure sponsorships and funding to support the Union's initiatives/debates. The Treasurer ensures the Union can operate effectively and continue to provide opportunities for debate with as little financial limitation as possible.

Guy de Basto is the Treasurer of the Union, studying History, Politics, Philosophy, and Spanish. He contributes to the Liberal Arts Magazine (Woolf), plays American Football for King's, enjoys chess, and has a lifelong passion for music. Pending ratification, he will also serve as Treasurer of the King's Caledonian Society next year, and is committed to promoting free speech and fostering open, thoughtful debate across the Union…
